We all know the temptation of having all of the Halloween Candy in the house a couple of weeks before the BIG TRICK OR TREAT DAY. As you pass by the bowl, it seems easy and fat free to just take one piece...soon one piece can end up being 10. Here are some tips to help avoid Halloween Haunts!

1. Buy your candy on Halloween!

2. Buy candy you do not like, the ones you put to the side when sorting your own trick or treat bag when you were a kid!

An Opensource Web Development Frame Work Ruby on Rails

Ruby on Rails (RoR) is open source web development framework that is scripted in Ruby. RoR is based on MVC (Model View Controller) architecture that divides entire application into layers which makes it highly manageable and easy to maintain. RoR includes advanced application development paradigms like DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) and Convention over configuration. It follows Agile Software Development Cycle

Everyone from startups to non-profits to enterprise organizations are using Rails. Rails is all about infrastructure, so it's a great fit for practically any type of web application Be it software for collaboration, community, e-commerce, content management, statistics

Ruby on Rail is a free web application framework, which intends to increase the speed and straightforwardness with which database-driven web sites can be created and offers skeleton code frameworks from the outset. Often shortened to Rails, or ROR, Ruby On Rails is an project written in the Ruby programming language and applications using the Rails framework are developed using the Rails framework are developed using the Model-View-Controller Design Pattern.

Rails is a full-stack framework for developing database-backed web applications according to the Model-View-Control pattern. From the Ajax in the view, to the request and response in the controller, to the domain model wrapping the database, Rails gives you a pure-Ruby development environment. To go live, all you need to add is a database and a web server.

The fundamental Ruby on Rails principles includes

The fundamental Ruby on Rails principles includes Convention over Configuration (CoC) and Don't repeat yourself (DRY).

"Don't repeat yourself" means that information is located in a single unambiguous place For example, using Active Record, the developer does not need to specify database column names in class definitions. Instead, Ruby can retrieve this information from the database.

"Convention over Configuration" means a developer only needs to specify unconventional aspects of the application. For example, if there's a class Sale in the model, the corresponding table in the database is called sales by default. It is only if one deviates from this convention, such as calling the table "products_sold", that one needs to write code regarding these names.

Because of these strict defaults, Rails is often referred to as "opinionated software", which has been a point of contention for many critics of Rails.

World Rankings

Every time I go to my doctors I give them an update on my world rankings; time, mileage, pace, calories, distance, world ranking, gender, age & country. Some always wanna tell you whats wrong so I wanna give'em a little Jerryism good. My primary physician thinks it's pretty cool and even asks me about my shoes and my link. He says he doesn't get out much, I'm working to be a world class patient, just going once a year for a physical should be sufficient

Neighborhood Walking Club

We started walking with our Nike Plus back in June, and I must say the IPOD Fitness Center has made a huge difference to our commitment to exercise. We decided that since it worked so well for us, we'd put together a "Walking Club" in our subdivision. It's amazing how many people would like to get some exercise but don't want to do it by themselves. Everyone is always captivated by the Nike Plus system, since we use it to track our group walks. I see this as a good opportunity to meet some people and get into shape as we're doing it!

We have come a long way, Babe!

When I finally got my Nike Link and Ipod, I did not know where it would lead. I have never been into exercise. I work two jobs and I thought I did enough activity within the job market. I began in July walking a little almost every day. As I walked more I wanted to here someone on my Ipod, like Lance Armstrong tell me what a good job I was doing. Then it changed, I just wanted not to let my team down. I wanted to Vertually walk accross the country with my team. Then I wanted to get good grades with my son.
